About Us

HoopDat was created and is currently run by Mason Ginsberg and Andrew Walker, two New Orleans natives who have resided there for their entire lives, as both graduated from Tulane University in May of 2010. Each grew up bleeding black and gold, and added a bit of teal when the Hornets came to town. We follow all things pertaining to New Orleans sports, as well as general sports trends.

  1. Hi Hoop Dat,

I would love to create a promotional partnership with you guys. You have a freakin’ awesome blog about sports in New Orleans and we are gonna be in your city soon! This year, CitySolve Urban Race New Orleans is on Saturday, March 25.

CitySolve is a unique urban adventure that takes a lot of brain, a bit of brawn, and a ton of fun! More than a scavenger hunt, but less physical than a 5k-road race, this unique hybrid combines trivia, from pop culture to world history, with a team-oriented adventure. Add in the occasional checkpoint challenge (think Double Dare without the slime) and you’ve got CitySolve Urban Race! http://www.citysolveurbanrace.com

We can offer $25 Tickets for anybody who comes (that’s 50% off!) and if your group brings 30+ people, we’ll cut you a deal and make you a Premium Sponsor! Take a look at the attached Sponsorship Rate Card to get more nitty gritty details. And oh, sleep better at night knowing a portion of each registration goes to benefit a LOCAL CHARITY – cool, eh?

I am always available for questions, additional information or to just chat. Please don’t hesitate to contact me via email or phone at 415-745-2369. I look forward to hearing from you.

  2. I’m the Director of Strategic Partnerships at PrimeSport, a ticketing company based out of Atlanta. PrimeSport is the official ticket and hospitality partner of the 2012 NCAA Men’s Final Four in New Orleans as well as the Official Ticket Exchange Partner of Tulane University and the Official hospitality partner of the Allstate Sugar Bowl. A sample of our other official partnerships include the NCAA Women’s Final Four, NCAA Men’s Frozen Four, Rose Bowl, Discover Orange Bowl, BCS National Championship, and 14 NFL teams.

We are growing our affiliate network in New Orleans because of our official relationships in the region and the large amount of inventory for live events. We offer very competitive commission rates and I’d love to have some of your time to discuss the program and see how we can get you on board as a PrimeSport affiliate partner.

  3. Wanted to shoot you an email- couldn’t find any contact info on your site. I wanted to pass along a press release to you. Thanks for your time!
